We were surprised that there were not many around as it was a gorgeous afternoon on the creek although blowy on the ocean in the afternoon but protected at the Boambee Creek Reserve. Best time was in the morning as usual even though it was low tide. A couple of kayakers saw a massive groper just this side of the Sawtell bridge whilst others paddled up Boambee Creek near the red backed sea eagle nesting area and caught a few whiting. A group of locals from Coffs Harbour canoed up to the Jewfish Hole and said they spotted a Sea-turtle! What a day.
